We had a wonderful and successful Region 15 Symposium and it was an honor to co host. Keep an eye out for a recap from our Region 15 coordinator (for his second term) Jason for more details

We are actively recruiting nurse leaders this year so reach out to your colleagues and encourage them to attend an event or a board meeting to learn more about what Sigma has to offer.

  • Holiday Gift Wrapping event to support A New Place

    Yay – it’s that time again!  We are back for another year of gift wrapping fun!  This project is a Christmas tradition for many of our volunteers and it’s a wonderful way to have fun, connect with members of our community, wrap presents and raise money for the homeless at ANEW Place.

    For our 33rd season at the University Mall, we will be providing gift wrapping services from
    Black Friday, November 28 through Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, 2025.

    Our chapter will be volunteering on the following dates. We need 3-5 people per shift! Please reach out to Mindy Pariser-Schmidt  to sign up.

    Hello members! As we enter the cold nights of winter, join us for a night of warmth, networking, dinner, and a wonderful conversation. This is an informal night for members to get together and enjoy the company of nurse leaders, faculty, and students. We are offering two locations again this year for our members in the Caselton area and the Burlington area. Sign up for 1 or both. We will all order off the restaurant menu giving you plenty of flexibility in choices and price. You are also welcome to come and network without dinner if you choose. We had a great time last year and look forward to getting together again this winter. 

  • Holiday Community Fund Raiser

    Please join our chapter this giving season in supporting the vulnerable members of our community. As many families continue to feel the effects of the government shutdown and reduced SNAP benefits, the need for assistance is greater than ever.

    This year, we are proud to support the Vermont Food Bank, which provides essential resources to food shelves across the state.

    Below are several ways you can participate in our efforts. We will be collecting funds or you can document your self donation with the link below throughout the months of November and December.

    We are launching our Omega Mu Chapter and friends team for a beautiful day of support at Shelburne Museum. Everyone is welcome to walk with us! Sign up and bring the whole family. Today there are nearly 7 million Americans living with the disease. Walk for someone you know or for any number of people in our state fighting this disease.  Join our team or support the chapter with a donation today!
